Everyday care

For regular care, it is usually enough to vacuum the rug carefully without using a rotating brush. Cleaning should be carried out gently, especially for wool rugs, silk rugs, antique rugs or delicate natural materials. Heavy rubbing, aggressive cleaning products or too much moisture can damage the fibres, colours or structure of the rug.

Fresh stains should be dealt with as quickly as possible. Carefully blot liquids with a clean, absorbent cloth and avoid vigorous rubbing. For stubborn stains, odours or deeply embedded dirt, professional cleaning is usually the safer option.

Every rug is different. Material, age, knotting, colours, condition and the type of soiling all play an important role in choosing the right cleaning method. That is why we assess your enquiry individually before providing you with a quote.

Note on stain removal: Many types of soiling can be significantly improved or completely removed through professional cleaning. However, complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed in every case, as the result depends on the material, age, colour fastness, previous treatment and type of stain.
